FAQs

How many people can attend an all-hands cooking event?
+

6-30 people. Ideally under 16 but we can do up to 30. Not everyone may be able to cook but we can assign other roles. i.e. bartender for a specialty cocktail, table scaping etc. Of course with virtual classes there is no limit. Our format scales from mid-size company gatherings to full-company experiences without losing the hands-on feel.

Can we do a hybrid event (some in-person, some remote)?
+

Yes — hybrid is a core format. In-person attendees cook at their venue while remote team members cook from their own kitchens with a shopping list emailed ahead, all connected via Chef Joey's live video. We'll have a camera set up so they can see the fun. Chef Joey moves around a lot so they may have to rely on verbal instruction at times but they are in on the action.

What about remote team members — can they participate?
+

Absolutely. Remote team members get a shopping list ahead of time, source their own ingredients from any local grocer, and join the live Zoom cook-along — same menu, same instruction, same time, just from their own kitchen. That way any team member can heckle another from the comfort of their own kitchen.

How long does an all-hands cooking event run?
+

1.5 to 3 hours, flexible to your agenda. Can include live demos, team challenges, or full cook-along formats depending on your time and goals

How far in advance should we book an all-hands?
+

3-6 weeks for larger events (30ish people) to ensure scheduling + venue setup. Smaller teams or shorter lead times possible — check availability — don't hesitate to reach out, we can usually find a way to make it work. Often its the venue booking we need to nail down first.
