Beginners Class

We’ll be going at a pace that suits all beginner chefs. If you just want a nice and easy pace as a grown kid…feel free to join us too. We couldn’t decide between our favourites so we’re doing both and mixing them together! Chili and Mac & Cheese! Weeeee

Rainbow Crepe Cakes

This is a beautiful cake to share with loved ones. Chef Joey has taken a Rainbow Crepe to the next level by incorporating just the right amount of cream cheese. Not too sweet. Just right. This one will get our creative juices flowing. We want to see all kinds of color combos! Make a yellow and blue cake and sell as a fundraiser. Whatever inspires you.

NOTE: This is a kids/adult beginner class so we’ll be going at a nice and easy pace.

Mexican Tortilla Pie

This Tortilla Pie is the perfect dinner. It’s simple to make but Chef Joey kicks up the flavour profile. You can make it spicy as you want or mild. It’s fun layering the pie and when it’s done you have a show piece! Great for lunches the next day too!

Osso Buco Heaven

This is a specialty of the Lombard;y region and is one of my favourite ways to cook veal shanks. So yummy you can never get enough. The polenta is a perfect pairing. Now that’s Italian.

Mediterranean Escape

Petrina has been to Greece twice and would go again! Set your table with a blue table cloth, pour yourself some vino in small water glasses and picture yourself looking over a cliff of white-washed houses dotted with turquoise. roofs. This menu has a couple classics and a twist on another.

Maui Star Noodle Restaurant Inspiration

When we were in Hawaii we hit this restaurant called Star Noodle in Lahaina. We still dream about it. These wings are not like anything you’ve ever had. Seriously. And when you make these garlic noodles they will become a staple in your household.

Wait until your kid finishes this amazing meal for you! The spices on the Jambalaya Skewers are flavourful without being “spicy”. Then the cornbread muffins! Well they are yummers!

We will be making the Creole Sauce at the end of class if you want to stick around for it. It is so tangy and a perfect pairing with the skewers.

Hail to the French Bistro

You’ll learn how to make light as a cloud crepes from a French Bistro. They will wrap around a beautiful creamy seafood medley of shrimp, lobster and crab. Then provide the perfect vehicle to get this yummy orange sauce into your belly.

Octoberfest

We may be a couple weeks late but we wanted to take advantage of another festival dedicated to drinking beer. Octoberfest! I’ll teach you have to make traditional German dishes that will get you yelling “Danke schon!”

“The best love[food] is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more” said Nicholas Spark in the Notebook. The movie is set in Charleston, South Carolina and that is where we took our inspiration. Take a trip to the South with us and catch the Notebook after.
