This soul food is in honour of Black History Month. My father lived in the south in a time filled with strife and discrimination. My history is rich and deeply rooted in the south and I feel encouraged in my time, that a “change is going to come”. The Soul Train was a celebration of black culture and this class will celebrate another part of our black culture.
